| Actress Tracy Shayne and husband, Peter Scolari, arrive on the red carpet for the New York premiere of Season 4 of HBO premium cable television's Emmy-winning hit comedy, 'Girls.' The event was held at Manhattan's American Museum of Natural History on January 5, 2015. In 'Girls' Scolari plays the father of Lena Dunham's character. Scolari won his first Primetime Emmy for 'Bosom Buddies,' an ABC-TV comedy, playing opposite Tom Hanks. He subsequently played a supporting role on the CBS comedy, 'The Bob Newhart Show.' In 2016 he won an Emmy for his role on 'Girls" for the 2016 season. Scolari died from cancer in Manhattan on October 22, 2021, at the age of 66. |
