The neo-romanesque Rywka and Zalman Nozyk synagogue is the only synagogue in Warsaw that survived World War II. The building was renovated in 1977-1983. The synagogue is the main temple of the Warsaw Jewish community and plays an important role as a centre of Jewish culture.
