An iconic landmark of London, this is a combined bascule suspension bridge across the River Thames, close to the Tower of London. Construction was started in the year 1886 and completed in 1892.The twin leaf bascule arrangement allows the two halves of the bridge to be raised, to give a clear space of 143 feet to the water level at high water.
