Lisboa (Lisbon) downtown waterfront. Museu da Electricidade (Electricity Museum) viewed from the Tagus (Tejo) river. It is the original building of Central Tejo, the thermoelectric plant which supplied electricity the entire city and the region of Lisbon between 1909 and 1972. Central Tejo was designed by engineer Lucien Neu and its construction was in charge of Vieillard & Touzet firm (Fernand Touzet). It was designed under the concept of the small power plants from the late nineteenth century, the so-called power plants.
