| Toto photo3 In the second year of Daiji 1127, Emperor Shirakawa had this pagoda built by Daigo Sanboin Shokaku Gon no Sojo. At the time, a rendering of Usnisavijaya in the image of the emperor was enshrined here, with Acala and Trailokyavijaya Vidya-raja flanking it. In Tempo 14 1843, the building burned, and it went without being rebuilt for 140 years. In Showa 59 1984, it was finally constructed anew. |
