Tivoli Castle is a mansion inside the Tivoli Park at the terminus of the JakopiÃÂ Promenade in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. It was built in the 17th century and renovated in the middle of the 19th century in its present Neoclassical style, and it is guarded by four cast-iron dogs. In front of it is the "Boy with a Fish" fountain (DeÃÂek z ribo), a reconstruction from an older Baroque one. The green and forested Tivoli Park is a favorite and a must visit place for visitors and locals in the city of Ljubljana, where one can relax in its grass or take a pleasant walk through its woods, tree-lined paths, natural trails and open areas. It is the largest park in the city and has a greenhouse, a rose garden, a pond, several notable buildings and artworks scattered through it. Since 1984 it has been protected as part of a Nature Park, and it is home to a variety of bird species.
