Summer view of park with the Thurzo castle, also called Bytca Castle (Bytčiansky zámok) the famous castle built as a water fortification in the 13th century and further rebuilt in the 16th century in Renaissance style. This castle is a location where trial with world famous Countess Elizabeth Bathory (Alžbeta Bátoriová) took place in the 7th January 1611. This castle now houses an regional state archive. Castle of Bytca is located in Bytca town, Zilina region, Slovakia.
