Telavi center is represented by the architectural complex of the Telavi Palace, called the Batonis Tsikhe, or Fortress of the Lord, in which in the XVII-XVIII centuries there was a residence of the kings of Kakheti, including King Irakli II. The museum complex includes The Palace of the Tsar of Kakhs, the churches of the royal court, the remains of the building of the philosophical and theological school, the royal bath, a tunnel and unique gates located on the eastern and western sides.
