The Central Oregon Cascades abounds with dormant volcanoes, some of the most prominent of which are (from right to left) the North Sister (Faith), Middle Sister (Hope), South Sister (Charity) and Broken Top. Visible from almost anywhere in Central Oregon, they stand within the Three Sisters Wilderness Area. These 10,000 foot peaks are primary features along the Pacific Coast National Scenic Trail, a hiking and pack route that spans 2,650 miles from Canada to Mexico and passes through three states.
