The geothermal well of Pamukkale are part of the `Hierapolis Archaeological Complex` in Turkey Denizli province. Snow-white travertines arose on the slope of the mountain as a result of precipitation of calcium carbonate from the water of carbonic sources. It`s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a wonderful tourist place. Annually, the crocheted terraces from the travertine attract thousands of tourists to the region. |
