Pictured is the Street of the Tentmakers in Cairo, Egypt. It is also known as the Qasaba of Radwan Bey and is a souk and covered market whose construction was completed in 1650 CE. It is the only existing example of a historic covered market street in Cairo and the last major market dedicated to the sale of decorative textiles known as Khayamiya. |
