Tampere railway station is a railway station serving the city of Tampere, one of Finland's major railway stations and is situated along the main line of Finland. It is measured by number of passengers carried in 2008. Finland's second busiest railway station after the Helsinki Central Station. Tampere Centrally located in the station and its rail yard have acted as distributor of parts of the city, like almost Tammerkoski: locations often are determined by which side of the position they are in. The station building is Eero Seppala and Otto Flodin, designed, representative of the functionalist building, which was completed in 1936. The stairs were placed in the baggage handling facilities as well as a large, two-story-high central hall office and cafeteria. Hall was built in passenger and freight tunnels to the platforms. The building was placed in the second floor office, restaurant and post office facilities.
