Taksiyarhis Church is the first church of AyvalÃÂ±k. AyvalÃÂ±k, a Greek region at the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century, developed around the first period structure of this church. Along with the development of AyvalÃÂ±k, the church was enlarged in 1753 and rebuilt in 1844. The building, which was used as a monopoly warehouse after the War of Independence, was restored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2012 and was put into service in 2013 as a subordinate of the BalÃÂ±kesir Kuvayi Milliye Museum Directorate.
