Boulder field in the highest mountain chain Lysogory in the Swietokrzyskie Mountains, Swiety Krzyz, Poland. The Ã
Å¡wiÃâ¢tokrzyskie boulder fields were created as a result of weathering of the late Cambrian quartzite sandstones in the period of the Quaternary. The main factor of the boulder fields creation was the climate, i.e. changes of temperature - freezing and thawing of the background; freezing of water in the cracks and fractures causing the disintegration of rocks. The name 'goÃ
âoborze' refers only to the Ã
Å¡wiÃâ¢tokrzyski region. The 'GoÃ
âoborze' became the symbol of the Ã
Å¡wiÃâ¢tokrzyskie Mountains. |
