| A blue moon occurs when a full moon happens twice in one calendar month, and a supermoon occurs when the Moon is closest to the Earth. It happens when a total lunar eclipse, a blood Moon and a supermoon coincide. This rare lunar event being called the `super blue blood Moon`, and it happens once in 150 years. Picture taken over sky of West Bengal in India on 31.01.2017 at 7.30 pm during total eclipse. During totality, the Moon's lower limb appeared brighter than the dark upper limb. |
