Summit of the Mt Tacul (4200m), part of the Mt Blanc range, taken from the Col du Midi (2600m). On the summit an ice overhang (or serac) caused by westerly winds caps the top of the mountain. Directly below the summit ice clings to the vertical slopes. Towards the bottom of the image a very large ice overhang appears to render a large part of the mountain unstable.
