A Lion Dance is a traditional form of Chinese dance, preformed to bring good luck, traditionally for the Chinese New Year. Requiring two performers, one for the head and the other for the body, there are different versions, depending if they originated in Northern Chana or Southern. As the Chinese diaspora spread throughout the rest of Asia, then the rest of the world, they took this cultural legacy with them, as is seen here in San Franciso, in 2021.
