The Netherlands, Province of North Brabant, City, Bergen op Zoom: In the street Lievevrouwestraat is the old medieval city gate the Gevangenpoort of Lievevrouwepoort, the oldest monument of Bergen op Zoom. The gate dates from the fourteenth, 14th century and formed part of the fortress wall. The building has two robust towers. Today, this fortification is being used as a museum for the archaeological foundation `In den Scherminckel`.
