Central market in Cape Coast, coastal town and one of the largest agglomerations in Ghana (western Africa). This is the busiest part of Cape Coast, crowds of people flow though narrow street where vendors sell everything, from fresh fish and live snails to cloth and electronics. Most people sell and buy right on the street, there are also numerous simple shops that sell indoor or outdoor. The picture shows a seller of shoes on a mobile vendor and browsing customers. Shoes are transported on wooden wheeled platforms where they are completely mixed together, so it is difficult to find the left and right shoe from the same pair. During a day the platforms are moved to a market, and for the night they are moved to store rooms.
