| Monreal is a medieval village in the Eifel. The historic village was elected as the most beautiful village in Germany several times. Many half-timbered houses and two castle ruins made Monreal the place for shooting movies. The idyllic village has become a travel destination for tourists from many countries. Both castles above are ruins. The Löwenburg is preserved at a ruin with a tower to enter. The Philipsburg is kept crumbeling. |
