Qinghai Lake (English: Qinghai Lake Tibetan: mtsho-sngon Mongolian: K ö ke Na) ? Ur) is located in the northeast of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, between Haiyan, Gangcha, and Gonghe counties in Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Qinghai Lake is one of the highest altitude lakes in the world, with a surface elevation of 3196 meters. The overall outline of the basin is elliptical, tilting from northwest to southeast, and is a closed inland basin It has a plateau continental climate. Qinghai Lake is a brackish water lake with high mineralization. The source of water supply is river water, followed by spring water and precipitation at the bottom of the lake.
