| One of the rooms in the `Solar`, or private apartment block in Stokesay Castle, one of the finest fortified medieval manor houses in England. The castle was originally built in the late 1200s by Laurence of Ludlow. This room was updated in the 1600s when the fine wood panelling was added along with the carved overmantel. |
