Saint Francis Hospital opened in 1960 with 275 beds, funded by Bill and Natalie Warren, founders of the Warren Petroleum Company. Today it is a 1112 bed tertiary center widely known for it's outstanding medical care and sophisticated services. Francis of Assisi was an Italian mystic and Catholic friar who founded the Franciscans. He was born in 1181 and died in 1226. He is depicted with holding a crucifix and wearing a habit. |
