The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral of the Diocese of Helsinki is located at Senate Square in the neighborhood of Kruununhaka. The church was originally built as a tribute to the Grand Duke of Finland, Tsar Nicholas I of Russia. Alexander II was the emperor of Russia and also the king of Poland and the grand duke of Finland.
