Welsh-born actor Roger Rees sports his lapel pin signifying his nomination for Director for Peter and the Starcatcher, at the Meet the Nominees press junket in New York City on May 5, 2012. Rees won a Tony in the early 1980s for his performance as Nicholas Nickleby and was known for playing wealthy multi-millionaire Robin Colcord on the iconic tv comedy, Cheers. He died at 71 at his Manhattan residence on July 10, 2015. He appeared most recently opposite Chita Rivera in The Visit, leaving the show due to illness two months before his death.
