When Golden Gate Park was being built, in the 1870`s, it was a hit almost from the start. Starting at Ocean Beach and running between Fulton Avenue and Lincoln Way, it was meant to continue like this all of the way to Market Street. By the time it got to Stanyan Street, so many new home and businesses were already there, it got shrunk down to the one block between Fell and Oak Streets of today. These businesses included several bicycle shops and three hotels. Originally called Park View Hotel, it has gone through various name changes but always kept its elegance. As seen 30 June 2022.
