Geneva, 87th Salon de l`Auto 2017 Spyker, the Dutch producer revealed the 525-HP C8 Preliator, its first car since 2009, at the Geneva Motor Show Tuesday. Power comes from an Audi-sourced 4.2-liter V8, a motor Spyker has used in various forms since the C8 first debuted in 2000. Only in the Preliator, it`s supercharged for 525-hp, which is routed through a gorgeous open-linkage manual transaxle. These beautiful gearbox mechanisms are Spyker`s speciality, so we`re very glad to see it used on a new car. You can have a six-speed automatic, but that just sort of seems wrong in a car like this. Styling is said to be inspired by aircraft, with copious usage of NACA ducts. Gold coating is applied to the glass roof, like that used in fighter jets.
