Spur-winged Lapwing Vanellus spinosus. Its cheeks and sides of the neck are white, its crown, throat and belly are black. Its legs are gray and long, its tail base is white, its feather tips are black. Its back and shoulder feathers are brown, its wing feathers are black and a white stripe separates the back and shoulder feathers. It lives in lagoons, salt and brackish marshes and lakes. Its length is between 25-28 cm. It lives locally in small groups. When there is a danger approaching its nest, it attacks by throwing satellites at the creature approaching its nest and tries to drive it away from its nest.
