Outward, the fruit appears to be rough, having grooves and notches at the point where blossoms fell from. Above the fruit are the large leaves with underside of vein network. This fruit, which is recognized in some regions as highly nutritiousl, or medicinal, is of the Rubiaceae, family, Gentianales, order, and has many common names; some of which are great morinda, indian mulberry, noni, beach mulberry, canary wood, lada, nono, kura, wild pine, yor ban, duppy soursop, and cheese fruit or cheesefruit. |
