| When the new Federal Building in San Francisco opened in 2007, officially the Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building, there were 1,700 workers in this one,18 story building. Unfortunately, as the use of drugs has gone up over the years along with the rise in homelessness, so has the crime right in front of this building. As the sidewalk here has become not just totally disgusting but literally unsafe for the workers here, a memo was sent out to all the workers, on August 4, urging them to just work from home. Additionally, federal police agents are now surrounding the building as well as having added a new fence around the section of the building that was being used for drugs dealing. |
