| Background: Sources of the Yarkon River - the Nufrim Pool Just behind the city of Petach Tikvah, a few minutes` drive from the crowded Tel Aviv metropolitan area, there is a spacious national park, a green area full of springs, pools and lakes that constitute the sources of the Yarkon. The national park will extend over 13,000 dunams in the future, and now includes two areas that have been paid for - the Tel Afek National Park and the nearby Mekorot Yarkon National Park. |
