| Songyang Academy was one of the oldest academies of higher learning in ancient China. In history, Songyang Academy was jointly dominated by Buddhism and Taoism at first, later by the Confucianism exclusively. First built in 484 A.D., it had been remedied and extended for several times in different dynasties. Located at the foot of Mt. Songshan in the central province of Henan, China, Songyang is also part of the Dengfeng cityââ¬â¢s ââ¬ÅCenter of Heaven and Earthââ¬Â Historic Monuments, UNESCO world culture heritage. |
