This is a less well-known building of the famous Finnish architect Lars Sonck (maybe best known for Ainola (1903), the family home for the composer Jean Sibelius in Järvenpää). This house shows elements of Art Nouveau, and is also influenced by residential wooden architecture. This building, locally known as Pirttiniemen Huvila, nowadays belongs to the Sailing Club of Kuopio.
