A ski lift is a mechanism for transporting skiers while suspended off the ground up a hill. The first ski lift was built in 1908 by the German Robert Winterhalder. Alpe di Siussi - Seiser Alm in german - is a Dolomite plateau and the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow in Europe. It is located in the western part of the Dolomites and has an altitude between 1680 m and 2350 m.
