| Sinaia Monastery or simply Sinaia Monastery (Russian: M?n?stirea Sinaia) is an Orthodox monastery located in Sinaia, Prahova County, Romania. It was founded in 1695 by Prince Michael Cantacuzino and named after the great monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai in Egypt. As of 2005, the monastery is home to thirteen Orthodox monks and is led by Abbot Macarius Bogus. The monastery is part of the Archdiocese of Bucharest. |
