Peres was a Nobel laureate and served as president as well. Hillel, a recipient of the Israel Prize, played a significant role in the mass exodus of Jews to Israel from his native Iraq and began the process which brought virtually the entire Ethiopian Jewish population to Israel. All 3 political figures enjoyed exceptional longevity. Shamir died in 2012 at the ate of 96; Peres died at 93 in 2016, and Hillel died on February 8, 2021 at 97.
