The Shanghai South Bund area is one of the earliest urban areas in Shanghai. This along the Huangpu River, Xinkaihe Road to the south, until the Nanpu Bridge has a total land area of 1.6 square kilometers of gold waterfront, its history can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. Because it is an old district, the southern bund is shaded by trees, and the old buildings are in groups, facing Lujiazui across the river. According to Shanghai`s “Huangpu River Cross-Straits Regional Planning”, the South Bund will be built into an international consumer circle that integrates waterfront tourism, finance, trade, office, commerce and residence.
