Holy Guard at the Golden Temple Amritsar, India. These Holy Guards are known as Sewadars at all Sikh Gurudwaras (temple). At Golden Temple, they keep a vigil over the devotees following the guidelines for the Holy Dip in the Sarovar (holy water tank, holy lake). The Golden Temple is a gurdwara located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the pre-eminent spiritual site of Sikhism. It is one of the holiest sites in Sikhism, alongside the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Kartarpur, and Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib.
