The M48 [original M4] Severn Road Bridge was constructed in the 1960`s replacing the ferry service , consisting of four separate structures, the Aust Viaduct, the Severn Bridge, the Beachy Viaduct and the Wye Bridge. Opened by Queen Elizabeth in 1966 1.6 km long, 136m Height, 3240m Longest span. Grade I listed. In the far distance is the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge, opened in 1996. On the left is Berkley Castle . |
