Pictured is a wall mural of Selena on one side of the Ponchaveli Studio in Dallas, Texas. Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was an American singer, songwriter, spokesperson, model, actress, and fashion designer. She was called the Queen of Tejano music, and was tragically murdered at age 23 by Yolanda SaldÃÂvar, her friend and former manager of her Selena Etc. boutiques. Selena was painted by self taught award winning artist Theo Ponchaveli. He has painted several well known murals in Dallas including but not limited to the JFK mural, the Lee Harvey Oswald mural, and the mural featuring Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughn, and the Baker Mayfield NFL Draft mural.
