Rosello fountain, details of the Fonte Rosello, constructed in1609, a unique renaissance fountain that once served as a focus of local life in Sassari, Sardinia, Italy (the four statues representing the seasons of the year). Often identified as a symbol of the city it is located in the center of the Rosello valley, overlooked by the Rosello bridge from the fascist period, and at the foot of the homonymous Monte Rosello neighborhood. The fountain through its allegorical meaning summarizes the flow of time, symbolized by the twelve mouths, called cantaros and with the presence of four statues depicting the seasons. At the beginning of the seventeenth century, the Rosello fountain was a novelty in its forms derived from late-Renaissance models and themes, which make it a unique monument in all of Sardinia
