Sarus Crane(Grus antigone) is the biggest(in size) resident bird of India and Indian Subcontinent. They found in Central Indian Belt, some parts of Western and Eastern India also at fresh water lakes, rivers and reservoirs. They are placed in VU(Vulnerable) category of IUCN because of declining numbers. |
