| The San Francisco Fire Department station 25, built in 1974, is not unique just for the fact that it is one of the very few fire stations in the whole country to actually have a working fireplace inside, something that older stations did used to have but no longer, but being positioned right on the Islais Creek portion of San Francisco Bay, it has an easily accessible additional supply of emergency water for protecting this Dogpatch Neighborhood, indeed, the whole city as needed. |
