| The Salesforce tower, as it is now known, opened in January 2018 and is now San Francisco`s tallest building, the second tallest on the whole west coast. Built on landfill, as this part of the city was originally part of the waterfront, special foundations were used. In all, it has 61 floors, reaching 1,070 feet, 326m.. The tower is part of the new Transbay Transit Center, which is still under construction. |
