The very tall Saguaro Cactus, Carnegiea gigqntea look very much like trees, in part because of their tall sizes and what looks like arms, but do not qualify as trees, as they are not at all woody, but are rather classified as Cactacae, that are uniquely adept to living, for very long, in very arid environments. Being native to the Sonoran Desert, they have become the symbol of the American West, being able to live up to two hundred years. The Sonoran Desert is a region going from the South West of California to the North West of Mexico.
