| The Uiver is one of the most famous Dutch aircraft in history. The KLM purchased it in 1934, and in the same year it won the London - Melbourne race. Unfortunately it also crashed near Rutbah Wells in Iraq in december 1934. In 1983, DC-2 NC39165 was painted in the colors of the Uiver to fly a memorial London - Melbourne race. in 1999 this aircraft was purchased by the Aviodrome and since 2000 it is on display in the museum. |
