MOSCOW, 20 SEPTEMBER 1999 - Moscow police make a mass arrest of Chechen and Dagestani men at a warehouse complex south of the Kremlin. The police continue their search for the unknown terrorists responsible for a string of deadly bombings in the capital which have left nearly 300 dead. Russian law enforcement officials continue to believe that the bombers come from either Chechnya or Dagestan.
