| The ruin of Wat Phia Wat near Phonsavan in Laos. The area was subject to bombing during the Vietnam War and this buddha statue and some walls are all that remain of this temple. The local people have decided to leave the temple in a ruined state as a reminder of war. The original temple dates from around 1582. |
