| Santa Maria del Mercadal Sainte-Marie du Mercadal in French is the parochial church of the north-Catalan commune of Castellnou dels Aspres, in the region of El Rosselló. Referred to the documentation already in 1259, the church, located outside the village, complemented the chapel of Sant Pere in Castellnou castle. The current building dates from the beginning of the 13th century. |
