Ancient Roman ruins at Glanum, Saint-Remy, Provence, France. On the outskirts of St. Remy and an easy 10 minute walk from Cloister St. Paul where Van Gogh lived during one of his health recovery periods, brings you to a small display of Roman artifacts. This is the Jules Mausoleum.
The Triumphal Arch and the Jules Mausoleum, today commonly called ââ¬ÅThe Antiquesââ¬Â, were for a longtime the only visible vestiges of Roman Antiquity in St Remy de Provence. These monuments, which figure amongst the most well-known left by the Roman civilization in Provence, marked the entrance to the city of Glanum.
